I was told the Perice +2mag ext would cause reliability issues ? TIA |
| The guys I talk to like the +2 extensions and seem to have good luck with them. I however feel more comfortable using a standard magazine and if I want something with a little more capacity I would use the next higher capacity magazine. In your case that would be a Glock 23 magazine with a capacity of 13 rounds. |

Quoted: Yeah I do have a g23 but the 23 mag feels kinda sloppy in the 27 ? It will feel a bit "loose", but should run with no problems at all. As with anything like this, confirm this at the range first. I for one would prefer the factory Glock +2's rather than Pearce. I know the factory units don't have that "extra grip" surface of the Pearce units, but I'd trust the factory units more, from my own experience with both. For what it's worth, you could probably stiple the front and sides of a factory unit, to give you that extra "grip surface". |

The Glock ones are much better although the Pearce but the Pearce are better feeling. I have two with Pearce ext and the rest of my G27 mags are Glock ext or standard mags. |
| I've no experience with the Pierce. I've got Glock +2 extension for my G26 mags and they work great. It's my understanding that the springs in the subcompact magazines are the same as the springs in the compact magazines. If true, there should be enough spring strength to extend the sub mags by 2 rounds. |

I may be getting a 27 soon and would like to know how things go for you. |
| Only problem I've heard was a police officer had the +2 extension pop off in a struggle. I think his +2 was made by shearer but I'm not sure. I notice the mag springs give out a little sooner on the Glock 27 than my Glock 22's. The slide lock fails to engage on the last round when the springs are getting weak. I've replaced the mag springs a couple of times but other than that I've never seen any problems with Glock 27 mag. I use Pearce grip +2 extension on 2 of my mags and leave one with the flat bottom for when I use an ankle holster. |
| I use the Glock extension on my 27, works great, never a problem. Only issues I've ever had with the gun was after shooting some blazer which caused alot of carbon buildup causing the firing pin spring to stick and ended up having to disassemble the slide and do a thorough cleaning. No issues since then, and I do a thorough cleaning evey 4-6 months now just to be on the safe side. |
