For you owners of the g30 how do you like it? I am gonna get one today and need to start looking for a IWB holster. If you carry the g30 IWB what holster do you use and how do you like it? I am asking around since I donot have alot of cash to spend trying different holster.I would rather spend $100 on a good one that is known for being great for the g30. Also what ammo do you use for carry. My local GS has 50rnd boxes of speer gold dot JHP 230gr +p for $30 are these good to use in the short barrel g30? Night sites-I know this can be a goood discussion with the couple brands that are out but what seems to be the best, longest life and at a decent price for the g30?I will get the NS after I purchase my holster thanks in advance |

my local GS said they sell blackhawk holsters.I dont know what they have available,I would have to go and see what they have. I just dont wanna end up buying 3 or 4 holsters until I found one that I like.I would rather just get one of the most popular and go from there. I have heard alot of people saying that te comp tac mtac or ctac are really good. They are expensive but if it is comfortable and nice then I wil pay the price for it. I am gonna have to see what the local GS has in stock and go from there. WHat are you g30 owners using for SD ammo? |
| I have a Milt Sparks VM-II for my G29 it is the same size as your G30. It is the best holster I have. The G29/30 is wider than most pistols and that needs to be considered when choosing an IWB holster. I never carry mine for more than a few hours at a time and if I had to do it over again I would get the same holster. As IWB holsters go the VM-II is a hard holster to beat. |

my local leos all use speer gold dots.I met one of them in the local gs when I bought ammo for my g17.I had no clue he was a leo either. I said (excuse me sir, what do you suggest I get for sd ammo in a g17) He pulled out his glock and said these gold dots.It kinda surprised me for him to pull out his piece like that, but the local gs is really laid back and cool. I like the vm 2 but it is pretty expensive. Can you post pics of your glock in it for me to see please? How well is the detail in the holster? Like the way the glock fits into it.Is it very tight? I have heard people say they are the best but I also hear that alot from the comp tac users.I have no problem spending some money on a good holster. How much maintenance is needed for a vm 2 since it is leather and how long did it take to break in?I have heard of people having to leave it inside for a night or two and taking multiple draws from it so it will loosen up a bit. |

i love it; imo, still the best double stacked .45acp out there--reliability, price, quality, reliabiliy, etc wise holster: CompTac MTAC or Threat Solutions UCR--both have worked great w/ it; biggest concern w/ the G30: width--its "fatness" is noticible to most .45acp ammo: 230gr, std pressure is a good 'base' line, JHP for defense --Speer Gold Dot --Winchester Ranger Ts --Federal HSTs --CorBon DPX night sights, lots of good brands, including: Trijicon, Heinies, Warren Tacticals, Meps, etc; the best combat sights imo: XSs |

I carry a Glock 30 all of the time I carry in a Sidearmor IWB. I have Ameri Glo night sights and carry Remington Golden Saber 230 gr jhp. I am picking up a High Noon IWB holster soon as I have them for my other Glocks and Like High Noon a lot. I would stay away from the Serpa as it it worn on the outside of the pants and is bulky. There is at least one firearms training school that does not allow them. I am also changing My ammo to Federal HST 230 gr jhp. |
