I really want one, but I'm not sure I want to part with anything else currently in inventory to fund the purchase. Just dropping $550 would be a no-no with baby #2 on the way ![]() Keep an eye out for Buds to get them used. Someone I know just got a gen 4 from there that looks like whoever had it before him shot the damn thing once, cleaned it up, and sold it. Bud's had it listed for like $450 I believe with their "make an offer" option. I believe he picked the damn thing up for like $390 or so. Absolute steal. |
| BTW...owned a 17L...HATED IT...thought I was going to hate the 34 until I shot one...BOUGHT A GEN III THAT DAY...I would be very hesitant to sell any of my Glocks...I will never sell the 34...EVER...my son will get it when I'm gone...I may however get one of OST's new V3 G34 Slides for it when they hit the market...in prototyping now... |

To me the 34 is as big as pistol needs to be. I know many like the 17L, but to me it's just goofy looking and I can't see where it could do anything better than the 34 aside from the longer site radius. (Which does obviously have it's advantages.) |

SKIP the MOS...too many reports of mounting plates screws shearing off (they are tiny) and the rear sight does not cowitness so begs the question WHY did they even put one on there...if you want an RDS on a Glock go to the master of RDS...One Source Tactical has been on the leading edge of RDS development for about the last 8-10 years... As far as G3 vs G4...matter of personal preference...just send your slide out to OST, they will mill it CORRECTLY and send it back out to you quickly and for about $145...the milling is second to none...ZERO slop, you will be amazed at how well it is milled...he also offers a stainless shim to fit under the RMR to seal it...solved many issues with them that way... http://www.onesourcetactical.com/images/products/detail/DSC_0054.JPG Quoted:

Glock includes the standard Glock sight why would they put an aftermarket sight on when most users have a preference already of which sight they will go with. Do you have anything to substantiate that claim. Article, pictures, anything other than to many reports. |

Just in my personal sphere of acquaintances I know of 2... AMMOHOE over at WT and here I believe had a brand new MOS shear its screws at 201 rounds...my local range Colonial Shooting center has had one of its guns loose screws at under 500 rounds...there...THATS two that I know of personally...and TWO too many...it is a poorly executed attempt at putting an RDS system on a mass produced gun...in an attempt to allow a range of RDS sight options...
As far as omitting the rear sights co-witness component... a co-witnessing rear sight is NECESSARY for a new RDS shooter to grasp the concept and move along the RDS continuum...its a runway of sorts to GUIDE the shooters eyes to the dot...after the transition and the shooter becomes an RDS shooter they are simply a BUIS... |

I kind of want to try the Vortex Viper Red Dot. Looks a whole lot like a Delta Point II wonder if they are re-branded... No Vortex makes original stuff. In my experience they also make really good quality stuff I own several scopes in the Viper lines. I like the price point on their stuff because I am not a tier 1 operator and I do not need something that can go to the bottom of the ocean, to the highest altitude and survive the worst torture test ever devised. I just demand quality that will not fail like cheap Chinese knock offs. |

TRUE THAT HOMEY...Vortex makes some nice mid range price as well as high end stuff...no crap there...I noticed that the RAZOR/VIPER and the other one were dimensionally identical...but 25-40% different in price...whats the difference? Like comparing in say Nikon the Buckmaster to Monarch. Or Leopuld has varying grades of optics the Razor is just the higher end and Viper is right underneath followed by the lower end line that Vortex makes (Crossfire and Diamondback.) |

Pretty sure Gabe Suarez and TSD/OST came up with that... |
| I got my new Glock 34.3 a few weeks ago. It is a great fit even in my small hands. I wanted a large frame Glock as I already have a Glock 19.3 and Glock 30.3 pistols. Installed an aftermarket target trigger assembly and Heine Straight Eight night sights. I am already planning to get the .45acp brother, the Glock 41. |

The Heinie sights looks so damn sexy on the Glock I have them on my G34.3 myself.
