| I stumbled upon a used G36 at a local pawn shop for $480, looks good with minimal use. This is the first chance I've had to handle this single stack and it felt good. Were there any differences between early & late production G36s? Assuming they're all Gen3s, right? i heard early 36s had some issues with reliability but I thought an updated recoil spring fixed this. Just debating on trying to strike a cash deal or just order a new one. |

I just checked gunbroker and they list new Glock 36 for $520 to $535 so $480 sounds a little high for a used Glock 36. I gave my Daughter my early model 36 which was GTG. Glock has made various changes to magazine followers and springs over the years for various models and I don't know of any changes to the model 36. The Glock 36 seems to be one of those pistols where people are opinionated on whether they like it or they don't. I always liked mine and my Daughter liked mine so much I gave iy to her for her 21st birthday.
The only issue with ours was it didn't want to feed all SWC bullets. It never failed to feed HP or round nose FMJ so that's what we shoot in the 36. I have also noticed this on a friend's Glock 30 but never on a Glock 21. If you like the 45ACP the 36 makes a very nice CCW pistol and they are comfortable for me to shoot. |
