| I know there are many nay-sayers here and elsewhere who deride the 45 GAP and it's stable of launching platforms...I was one of them. Just got done doing my second session at the range ( semi-annual quals) wth the G37 and have to admit that that bastard just plain shoots. Shot 250/250 on the PQC and then ran 20/20 on a 3x5 card at 7 yards doing speed drills. that coupled with aut photos of one of our shoots involving the GAP makes me a solid believer. Oh and I got 500 rds of 200 gr Gold Dot LE packed for just over $300.00 this week. It's a really good system for what it was designed for. |

I used to have a G37. It may have been the best shooting Glock I have ever owned, but it was a PITA to find ammo for. Of course, this was shortly after the release of the G37. GAP ammo was new, a little pricey, and hard to find. Maybe it is easier to come by now. All of that being said, I think that a Practical/Tactical GAP would be one sweet shooting pistol. Jay |
fixed it for you ![]() i wish that glock came out w/ a P/T G21 |
I would much rather have a P/T G21SF, but I do think the GAP one would be a good shooter. Jay |

Hey...I like the idea and even the feel of the .45GAP... But only one thing....AMMO will always be an issue unless,, .45GAP becomes the next military round...Yeah right or Major LE takes the plung and scraps the .40 S&W. Not likely.. But your scores just show what happens with..... Excellent grip Dia...Hi-cap..And a .45 bullet |
NYSP, PSP, GSP, SCHP, Denver PD, the list is growing. The reason for ammo shortage now is that Speer had to dump an entire run of Gold Dot. It may show up on dealers shelves in plain boxes though. |
Like I said, Ammo was the reason I dumped my G37. The pistol was a sweet shooter. I actually liked the pistol. Ammo was just a PITA. ETA: I liked the pistol enough that I carried it for a while. Jay |

I have been trying for years to tell people that there's something about that little .45 GAP that makes it oddly, surprisingly accurate. No one wants to listen cause they'd rather spend their time extolling the virtues of the .45 ACP and how the GAP is the answer to the question nobody asked. I own a G21 and a G39. I love 'em both. Ammo for the .45 GAP is a bit of an issue. Reloading components, however, are the same price as the .45 ACP (dies too). If you reload the ammo situation is not much of an issue. |
| I really did "laugh out loud" when the Glock rep showed me a prototype 37 at the Shot Show years ago, however 762DM is starting to sway me. I do think Wave said that some dept had reported problems with them and I would buy a reloader before I got into gap, but I am sorely tempted. |
| Wave should ask the PD firearms guys who were at the Speer gelatin shoot, Everybody there was pretty impressed, especially when apples were compared to apples. Just did a training in PA and those boys are solid behind it, ammo is an issue which will probably correct itself as the guns get more popular. The G38 I have is my absolute favorite pistol I've ever owned. |
