Im thinking of getting a glock 29 to add to my glock collection(19,26,27). Anyone have any pics of their 29 compared to the 26/27 as far as size? Also what do you think of the 10mm round? Any pics of the 10mm round next to a 45 for comparison? |

A 29 is significantly larger than a 26. The 29 is the same width as a 20 with a shorter barrel and grip. I'm not up on current 10mm loadings. The original loadings were pretty hot, pushing 41 magnum if I remember correctly. I have heard that a lot of the current factory loadings are down in 40S&W range, probably out of fear of their use in Colt Deltas, that seemed to not be up to the full house loads over extended periods. |

Have both the 20 and 29, they rock IMO. Own 5 10's total. Here is a thread on the 10 Danny |
The 10mm ammo is not quite as powerful as the 10mm auto of yesteryear, but it is still right up there. I spoke with a Glock rep once, and he said that all Glock 10mm guns are designed from the ground up to handle the more powerful 10mm round. My old now-closed indoor range had a Colt Delta Elite as a rental gun. The gun cracked the slide behind the ejection port after only 2,500 rounds of factory PMC 10mm ammo, and cracked the frame at the slide stop hole at 5,000. The 10mm 1911s were clearly not strong enought to handle the additional power of the 10mm auto round. |
