It's Glock, shoots what I would consider a non-standard round... not the easiest caliber to find at the present time (reloading makes this statement a moot issue).

Slimmer than a large frame Glock, so it should be easier to conceal... but with a limited capacity.  Similar ballistics/capabilities to the .45 ACP.

We have a G37 at the range I work it, shoots well... but not really a road I'd be willing to go down unless I could find a ton of ammo.... and got a super deal on the firearm.

That's my $.02~

If you can afford and find the ammo it is a sweet pistol.  Other than that not much difference between the 17/22/32 other than it is heavier because the slide is thicker.

One thing I like about the G37 that no other full size has the muzzle end of the slide is rounded instead of boxy like the other full size and compacts.

FYI OP I would suggest putting on a flame retardant suit as you are about to get it.

Other than the ammo I don't see an issue. If you reload and can get a good deal on the pistol why not? I've heard only good about 45 Glocks.

I saw a interview with R.Lee Ermey and he said the Glock 45GAP and 10mm were his 2 favorite Glocks, that was good enough for me but you guys really confirm the 45GAP will huntlooks like if I get the 45GAP I will be in good company bigtime

If it's a good deal financially and you can figure out a way to convert it to .45 ACP I would suggest buying it....I love my 30s....<><....;)

If you handload it wouldn't be such a bad cartridge. Enough LE agencies are using it ammo won't be an issue.

I'd rather have a .40 or 9mm.

This is the gun that nobody wants which means good prices and deals for me.

I have two of them.  With the 17 size frame, they fit my hands well. Ammo is not that hard to find. I just bought 500 rounds of 230 grain JHP that were advertised on a local board cause the seller had mistakenly bought it thinking it was ACP. A Google search can find more.

I also reload and got some really good deals on brass. I just made a deal for 4400 rounds of brass for $175.00. Add that to the to the 10,000 other rounds of GAP brass I already had and my arm will be worn out from reloading long before I wear the gun out.

The only drawback I've found so far is locating extra magazines. Sooner or later they will wear out and I like to have extras. Search the EE and the classifieds on Glocktalk and there are good deal to be found.

The case is the same length as the 9mm. ACP brass can NOT be trimmed to the same length and used. There are differences in the thickness at the base. It uses small pistol primers. You can use the same bullet as the ACP.  Reloading can be accomplished using ACP dies. All you have to do is adjust them, just like you do for 40 and 10mm. Not a big deal at all.

I recently sold my 39 to a friend. I also sold him 790 rounds of ammo to go with it. It was a real nice shooting pistol. I wish it was a 38 or 37 as I only used it as a range gun. I found the ammo cheap last year so I bought a lot.

I've thought about trying a G39 for awhile, especially when Bud's was blowing them out for $300 or $400 new. I like the idea of a G26 sized .45. I've been keeping an eye out for a decent police trade in, and I finally snagged one today off gunbroker for $260, couldn't pass that up. I see ammo locally and online for .45ACP prices, not too worried about that. Looking forward to shooting it this weekend.

I bought a bunch last year from SG for $17.69-$17.99 a box of 50. American Eagle and Speer Lawman. It's out there and for a reloader it's a none issue. When this recent ammo shortage started 45 GAP was one of the few options in local stores. It may be more common here because the NY state police use 45 GAP pistols.
