So I just noticed that my recoil giude rod spring in the front of my 22 (business end) is not exactly straight.  It sits to the side a little bit.   When I start to reasemble the gun, it's fine but when I chamber it back, the plastic end of the guide rod is not exactly even where it should be.  It shoudl be straight and even like the barrel.  You can actually move it around just a bit when the gun is fully reasembled.   I did notice that the first coil of the srping that rest on the plastic end of the rod looks like it's stretched out.  The gun shoots fine it's just that I just noticed this an hour ago here at work.  I'd do pics but like I said, I'm here at work on lunch.
Is this normal for the Gen 4's?

No it shouldn't.  It's only straight when you assembled it. It moves once it's fired or racked.

Normal.

No it's not.   I looked it up a bit last night and it seems to be the Gen 4's.  I looked at some of the other officers Gen 4's and there's was the same.   The Gen 3's left in the dept are not like that.
Thanks guys

No offense brother.  I guess I should have mentioned that you can actually see just a TINY bit of the first recoil spring behind the tip of the guide rod on the Gen 4.  On the gen 3's yes they stick out a bit but you can't see the spring like you can on the gen 4's.  Like I mentioned, it was the same with the other gen 4's in our dept.  Just the way it was made I gues.

Thats just the difference in the design between the Gen 3 and the new Gen 4 recoil spring groups. They are totally different.

Ok now with that pic I see.    You can fix that. It's easy. Rotate the spring assembly around the hole as your putting it into the barrel lug.   This will seat the spring & be flush.  I found it's picky.  It shouldn't protrude that much normally.
