THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE ADD!

I have a Gen 2 Glock 23 that I cant decide whether to keep or not. I have a Gen 3 that I like and shoot a lot so talk me into keeping it or selling it. I know there are a lot of people who love the frame with no finger grooves. What does everyone think? What would the value be if I did decide to sell it?

I think I need another range trip to see if I like it enough to keep it.

You can usually get at least $400 for any Glock in MA because most people don't know how to get them, and assume their only options are pre-94 guns.

I could sell it to a FFL for probably $300-350 just to watch them flip a 20 year old gun for $500+
Meanwhile I watch free states buy brand new for $450ish.

Keep it. It's not like you have to feed it and send it to school.

Get a 9mm conversion barrel for it and have something different.

Don't need to, I already have the 9mm family, 17/19/26, 22/23/27, 43 and a 36.
I don't have any problem with keeping it but I'm wondering if I should put my money could go to something else like ammo, maybe a class at Sig Academy, maintenance on my truck or maybe a friendly stripper, who knows.

Honestly, I'd dump all of the .40's and either the G26,G19, or G43 and buy a G20 and G34, then take whatever you have leftover and put it into ammo/reloading supplies/training/good holsters, etc... Sig Academy is never a bad choice. I had a G23 for about a month and I hated it.

IMO, having the 19, 26, and 43 is redundant when it comes to CCW -- I find the G26 easy enough to conceal that the G43 doesn't offer me a whole lot. With flush mags, it can be concealed under a t shirt. If you're dressing a little looser, you can hide a +2 mag extension and have 12+1, and that kinda makes the G19 redundant? Although I guess that might be an issue in MA, since you're limited to 10rds unless they're preban?

I was debating the same thing with my gen 2 G20. It is huge in my hands, and the difference between it and my Gen 3 SF G21 is very noticeable. But with extended controls, I shoot it well. I will probably eventually buy or trade it for a gen 4 G20, but at present I rarely shoot it or carry it, which makes it hard to justify upgrading to a newer G20. I do eventually hope to find the time to start hiking again, at which point I'd go back to carrying it and might replace it with a gen 4 G20.

ETA: For 100 bucks you can get your frame replaced by Glock. I inquired about it, but they said they couldn't swap a gen 2 frame for a gen 3 sf frame.
