| Just out of curiosity, how long were the gen 3's out, before the gen 4's came out? I guess what I am wondering, is how long until the gen 5's come out? I'm sure there are plenty of upgrades they could do, and will continue to build good guns. |

Dave, where did you hear this? Very interesting for sure. Quoted:

My understanding is the G42 has some "experimental Gen5" parts in it. The slide stop lever, trigger bar, trigger mechanism housing, and trigger spring assembly are much different than Gen4 parts. Dave, where did you hear this? Very interesting for sure. When I picked up my G42 a couple of weeks ago, a rep for the regional distributor happened to be at the shop. I was discussing some of the changes on the G42 with him when he told me that it had some Gen5 prototype parts in it. He did not tell me any specifics. No way to know if it was BS or not. |

Thanks Dave, I was just curious as to the source. I too think that the Gen 5 will be faster than the Gen 4 was. There is lot's of new stuff on the horizon. Exciting times, that would be even more fantastic, if we didn't have to worry so much politically. |

Gen 5 should be; Gen 2 frame Gen 3 internals and rail Gen 4 back straps, grip texture, and mag release. I used to not think finger grooves were bad until I picked up a friend's Gen 2. I now can see why people prefer them without. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
