| Is it considered a good or bad thing to have a german made frame? Or does it not make a difference? |

Beware, there are new 100% Exeter guns out there––except the MIM parts made in India. Sig hasn't advertised this.
I bought a new P239 in March that is an Exeter gun. I've seen pics of P226s that are also made in USA. IMHO this change is the result of cost cutting, and if it follows other cost cutting measures, in the short term there will nothing wrong with USA frames. In the long term quality will slip. The new Sig QC process can be summed up as "Let's see if it comes back." They don't even proof the barrels anymore. This is why I advise folks to consider buying used Sigs. You save money, usually get some extras with it, and can do the Sig Service Plan ro replace the springs and sights. Also, if you want a 9MM gun there's no reason why you shouldn't have an all German Sig! |
