| Had my glock 19 blew out my magazine blew snapped the magazine relase in half. Everything else seems fine but I still have the empty case in the chamber, the slide is still in battery and will not go bckward. Any suggestions on hat to do get the empty case out. |

That sucks. What ammo?
Try grabbing the slide firmly then hitting the grip firmly forward. Or, hook the front edge of the slide (above/beside the barrel) on a (protected) edge and push forward hard at the grip, hitting firmly as needed. Or, do the same as the last suggestion but put a socket (with a rag/towel) on the floor or solid surface that will fit the barrel but not the slide. I had a case failure in a G19 with a factory Winchester. That stung. Mag flew out, but gun was otherwise fine. |

Yeah tried the slide trick already, will not budge. Try the edge or socket method? If you have to push harder than you physically can you may have a larger issue because all you need to do is overcome the extractor hook on the brass rim and/or the friction of the brass case on the chamber wall. |

Put the gun in a bench vise, barrel straight up. Use towels to protect the frame. Get a socket that fits over the barrel. Again use heavy towels to protect the finish. Then get a big rubber mallet and hit the socket. It may take a few licks but it will give way. Dont play with it, hit the sob. Ive done this twice on glocks and normally a few hard smacks does the trick.

Take a torch to it, then go buy a new one. Once it has been exposed to those sorts of pressures, it's not worth taking a chance on repairing and firing again. Guns just don't cost enough to take a chance on injuring yourself. You were lucky once, don't push it. This is bad advise all around. Sending it to glock for testing, repair. If it is too damaged glock will replace for free if this was not user error. |
