| Wanted to poke here before I do this trade. How rare are the od glock that have no mim parts? Any more value than others? |

I have two questions about MIM parts. If they're the total junk that people think they are, how are they still selling? Why after decades of manufacturing crappy parts, haven't manufacturers realized that they are making junk and upped their game a little bit? They're not junk. MIM 15 years ago wasn't at the same level it is now. The process has definitely matured. As a rule, if MIM is going to fail, it's going to fail pretty early in the product lifetime, and that's due to some type of defect in the manufacturing. If your 15 year old MIM extractor hasn't failed, it's unlikely to fail. |

Because people stopped buying the guns with crappy MIM (Kimbers reputation was destroyed by MIM) or they upgrade the MIM parts to steel parts as soon as they buy a new gun. You never saw broken Glock strikers or BTF pre MIM. For a range gun MIM is fine. My EDC Glock is pre MIM and pre LCI. |
