Glock 26L > Glock

Can a G19 Gen3 slide be put on a Gen3 g26 frame and work.

I've read several reports that it does but it didn't for me.

You could cut down the grip frame on a 19 so that it is 26 length. I've heard of people cutting a 17 down so the grip is the length of a 19.

The 19 frame has to be cut down as far as i know... like mine

Do they make a slightly longer 26 barrel...surely someone's does?

It should work. However, you get the funny-looking area up front where the dust cover isn't long enough and your recoil spring is hanging out.

Just use a G19 barrel on the G26.

Or just use a G26....

The G19 is obviously a great gun but the G26 is easier to carry in the warm months

I'd seen it before but wasn't sure if they were still making it, and I didn't bother looking.

The issue with this setup (for me at least), is it leaves me with a mostly useless G19/23 frame and G27 top end. While the 26/27L setup seems to work, the opposite (G19/23K?) does not.

It might be viable if you have a cheap parts kit. But last time I checked gunbroker, Glock top ends were selling often for more than what a complete used (or sometimes new) Glock costs.

Imagine the possibilities if glock had made all the lowers and uppers compatible.

G26 with a G34 slide.

G17 with a G26 frame.

G19 frame with a G17L slide.
