1.   where is your thumb?
2.   did you try another magazine?

How do you grip the gun?  Before I learned a proper grip, I would find that while firing, my thumb would sneak up toward the slide stop lever and will cause what you are describing.  Improper grip could also explain the problems you are describing with your Colt in another thread.  Your grip should ensure that your thumbs are off the controls, or at least in a position on top of them that will not cause a failure.  Just a thought.

on my colt my thumb rides the safety. i have another 1911 without these issues . i did try another mag with the glock without a problem.
on the glock it only does this with one round in the mag, no other time which is leading me to believe it is the mag. thanks

sounds like a good excuse to buy a ton of mags! stock up on some G17 backups for it!

If your thumb is riding on the safety, you're good.
If your grip is not affecting the controls then, like you said, sounds like mag springs.

Did you buy the gun new?

Check the slide stop spring.

If it looks like this it will cause sporadic lock back.

If the spring is straight it is another problem.

The issue should be resolved when these two questions are anwsered.

Have another shooter put a magazine or two through your gun.

The Glock 26 is very small, and can lead to you pushing up on the slide stop.

answered your own question- worked with another mag- get a few spare mags and put the "problem child" aside for practice duty

Uh...

Don't have to pull the trigger to test this.  Cycle the slide through a few rounds and see what's mechanically causing the slide to lock back.

Recoil can be a factor in the issue.
