| You don't see a lot of them but I ordered one through my blue label dealer a while back and it should be here any day now. If you have one what do you think of it? Have you done any upgrades? What holster do you like for it? What threaded barrels are out there for the 29? Tell me all you know about the glock 29 and by all means share some pictures! |

I got a Gen 4 G29 through the Blue Label program as well as a 20SF (3rd gen) this year, next year I'll grab a 40MOS maybe... the 29 carries well in a Raven VG2 advanced AIWB (strut model with the claw... love it), the VG3 with my u300x light also AIWB (wish they could put a claw on that one as well) or with a Desantis "Cozy Partner" at 3:30-4:00. I haven't looked into custom leather yet, but I'll likely end up with something from TT Gunleather before too long. He's been my 'go to' for leather the past few years.
It's just a touch smaller than a G19, but thicker... I find it conceals easily, but then again, I am used to CCW'ing a CZ75B.
The only upgrades I've done have been to polish up a few internals... the famous .25 trigger job. Don't polish too much. I have a few heavier recoil springs, but it eats all my loads with ease and doesn't seem to be battering the frame, so stock RSA for now. Accuracy has been just fine. Trigger is glock... so workable, but not perfect. The .25 trigger job helps. Thinking about a Zev minus connector.. put one into my polymer 80 compact build and it feels nice. Might be an easy upgrade, but I may not as I tend to like my carry guns with stock internals. |

I had a Robar Glock 29. I hated that gun. It just wasn't pleasant to shoot. I don't know if it was the grip angle for me or what, but it sucked. Just my personal experience with it. |

I think of it similar to my J-frame .357mag... it stings and the muzzle flips and your grip is very abbreviated, but the downsides are balanced by the hit it delivers. Like a snub nose magnum, the 29 is the biggest punch in the smallest package possible. I've never been a fan of the Glock grip angle, it just never points naturally for me and I don't care for the finger grooves in principle... but I've found they are useful for securing a grip on the 29. I'll likely stipple the frame, but I won't be removing the finger grooves as I had initially planned. I'm looking at the KKM website and seriously pondering their threaded/comped barrel... I have one coming for a Glock19 Roland/Fauxland Special build. If it works out well with the 9mm, I don't see why it wouldn't help the 10mm. All said and done, the 29 is probably my favorite Glock currently. The 20sf is a close 2nd... the 20sf is much more pleasant to shoot thanks to the full grip it offers. |

Get a 22lb spring, vickers mag and slide release. All you really need. |

They tend to have a lot of flip. Grip extensions help but you lose a lot of the 10mm benefits in the short barrel. I want a 40 or 41 with conversion barrel. Serious question, as I've just recently started looking into the best mm. |
