OK, I just scored a new Glock 30S today. It's a gen 3. The 30S is a 36 slide on a 30SF frame. You cannot convert the mag release over to the right side for a lefty. That is only doable on the Gen 4. I can work with right handed weapons. However, on the baby Glock's, when I get a good solid grip, I'm afraid I might accidentally depress the mag release. My question for you Glock aficionados in here is can I take the gen. 3 36 slide and successfully mate it to a gen 4 30 frame? That would be ideal.
Thanks. |

There is no Gen 4 30S. There was speculation that they would come out with it but nothing concrete so far. As for interchanging slides, I don't think you can put a Gen 3 slide on a Gen 4 frame and vice versa but not 100% positive. You can put the gen3 slide on a gen4 frame since the cutout for the recoil spring is bigger. It won't work in reverse. |
