I'm thinking of going the red dot route on my Glock 34. Which is a better option milled slide or a mount that replaces the rear sight? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |
| It all depends if you're willing to commit to a red dot on your 34. If you are, I think it's worthwhile to get the slide milled (but a little spendy). If you only want to try it out without permanently modifying your slide, then I think the Dueck Defense RBU is a great option. The cons I see for the RBU will be that the red dot will sit higher on the gun compared to getting the slide milled and that the sight radius will be severely shortened, at least in the case of the RBU. |

I say mill it. You should be able to get it done for around $150.
Suarez has something similar as well: http://www.onesourcetactical.com/suarez-l-mount-red-dot-base.aspx#.VyxPoTEhC1s |
