I'm planning on getting a Glock 35 soon. Do any of you have this model with night sights? If so do they extend past the open cut in the top of the slide? If they do, is there any problem with this, like the sight getting dirty faster? |

The reason for the question is that I'm a gangsta, and I don't use holsters. I shove the gun down the front of my pants and I didn't want the sight snagging on my boxers. Mostly as the waist of my pants is somewhere between my knees and my shins, I don't want to pull my piece, snag my boxers and pull them high, else I would hang out. You just can't be a mean mofo with your junk hanging out of the bottom of your now high boxers and your pants at your knees. Honestly, that wouldn't be civilized. In the real world, I just wasn't sure how far back normal length night sights would ride. The sight snagging on something isn't much of a concern. Mostly it is an aesthetic thing, which sounds weird it being a glock... Like some of those early adjustable sights that hung over the back of the pistol. It just looked bad to me. The 'getting the sight covered in residue' was mostly because I haven't shot the 34/35 model much. On my Glock 22 after a hard days shooting as it gets to be night time, I notice that my front sight is pretty covered and the tritium dot is hidden and very hard to see in comparison to the rear ones. I wasn't sure if the hole in the slide had any effect on this. I assumed it would be the same, but thought I would ask. Thanks |
What front sight is that? |
