Hey guys a friend of mine just purchased a glock 34 for use in some ipsc/Uspsa matches we shoot in. We both had pretty much done the exact modification to them aka trigger job fire pin spring ect. Mine ejects brass nice and far away but his hardly sends them a foot away both straight back at his face and to the right only thing neither of us changed is the recoil spring. His has about 200 rounds through it and mine has about 2,500 rounds any ideas what could be the problem with his?
Thanks Chris Also everything is installed correctly we checked that |

Thanks Chris Also everything is installed correctly we checked that Start with the extractor then ejector. They have changed from the dip extractor back to the flat extractor so you might be able to get them to just send you a new one and throw it in. Should solve the issue. |

extractor and ejector are the two most discussed possible causes. compare part numbers and swap yours into his gun to see if the problem remains. first though, i would try your recoil spring in his gun (assuming they are the same Gen). at some point in the past, Glock slightly bumped up the strength of the RSA |

Carney... guess I'm the oddball.. I went the other way and use a 17# uncaptured ISMI spring with a stainless guide rod in my G34..
.try rolling your strong elbow up to apply a little more resistance to your wrist...with a weak thumb forward grip, you should feel your strong hand fingernails in the palm of your weak hand |

Quoted: Thanks guys for the advice ill get his ass to the range and swap some parts another quick question I was looking at putting an 11 or 13 lb recoil spring in my gun for a better follow up shot any known issues with that? Unless you're using underpowered ammo you're looking at premature wear on the slide, frame, and maybe a broken locking block or locking block pin. |

i would work my way one part at a time to see if its a specific one that causing the problem RSA first...if it doesnt help...swap them back extractor next...if it doesnt help...swap them back ejector next...if it doesnt work...swap them back hell, if none of that makes a difference, try switching mags |

trigger job fire pin spring ect... The striker spring probably isn't your problem; But I've never had any luck with light striker springs. Way too many fail to fires/light strikes. I have 3 other friends that will say the same thing. Put the stock back in. |

Just swap top halves first ,that will rule out the ejector.
If your upper solves his problems, you can start narrowing it down by swapping individual slide parts one at a time. If the individual parts swap do not solve the problems, try your slide with his original extractor/recoil spring. Where I am going with this is,maybe his extractor cut in his slide is fubar. |
