I carry one every day at work and have for 11 years.  My agency has had them as their issued weapon for about 12-13 years. I own and have carried the gen 3 and gen 4. Both have been reliable and accurate guns. If you like .40 they are a good gun. I have had no regrets on buying my wife's and my duty guns when we had the buyback option for the gen 3 and the first gen 4 we were issued. On duty we carry in a safariland als. For USPSA I use a bladetech stingray with a doh attachment.

Love my 35, been carrying it since 2007.  I carry mine open in a Serpa.

I have one and liked it so much that I bought a 34, 41, and 40. It definitely lives in the shadow of the 34 but only due to the popularity of 9mm vs .40 for competition. Honestly I haven't shot it much since I got the 34, but I figured if I was only going to have one .40 might as well be a kick ass .40. It will fit in most Glock holsters as long as you keep in mind it has to be a holster that allows the slide to poke through the bottom. I only have one specific holster for it and that's a Safariland ALS made for the 34/35 with TLR-1. This holster will also fit the 41 but it's a little more snug. I keep it loaded for HD with a light on it because I don't EDC a light on my 19 and a light on a 34 is a no go for IDPA, so instead of putting on and taking it off I just leave it on the 35 for HD purposes. Useless factoid: I won my first IDPA competition using it, and it was also my first time shooting it.

My experience is similar, I've had two Gen 3s personally and have a Gen 4 currently as a duty gun. Safariland ALS for the holsters, I have a paddle (6378), duty (6360) and drop (6304?). I've also used a leather pancake style with an open bottom (I think it's a Gould and Goodrich), and a SERPA. I have a Comptac CTAC that will fit it but it's not really the best IWB gun.

It's definitely an underrated gun. The only reason not to get one is if you just don't like .40.

A Glock 35 is the best way to shoot.40.

I don't own one anymore, I only have 9mm now...

Spill the beans OP. Did you find a deal on one or are you going to start looking for one?

Mine is a tack driver.  I carry it in a Comp-tac CTAC

If you can carry a 1911 Govt. you can carry the 35.  I sue it for my bed side gun too.  It is awesome with an X300U

I love mine,

I went looking for one to shoot USPSA production or limited during our outdoor season. I could not find one anywhere. As a last ditch effort I went to a small store half hour away. Not only did they have one, but it was being sold used(no signs it had ever been fired) but is was a smoking deal. $450!

I shot it in about 20 matches, did pretty good for my first year. Then I started to carry it, it works just fine. I always keep my eye out for a good deal on a 34 to have both.

I got a gen 4 last year for uspsa.  Sights, trigger connector, springs and its ready to roll.  Use a blade tech holster on a double alpha belt.

I plan on picking up a gen 4 G35 and making it a USPSA Limited gun. Currently using a gen 4 G34 for Production at the moment.

I'm currently using a DAA PDR Pro holster and it will still be a decent Limited holster while still being Production legal.

Here's a overview of the DAA PDR Pro and Blade Tech Revolution

USPSA Limited gun

I don't carry it as a CCW, just use it for competition.

I shoot one in IPSC "Standard" because the 34 and 35 are not legal for IPSC production. Factory adj sights with a Pyramid trigger kit and Bladetech DOH holster.

I also have an aftermarket 9mm barrel for it and it almost acts like a bull barrel in the 35. Just need 9mm mags.

I own one solely for USPSA limited.

Not a .40 fan at all.

It would be helpful if you said what you're planning on using it for.  That would allow for better recommendations on holsters, etc.

I just bought a G35 its kind of a consignment deal waiting for a rifle to sell and my LGS works with me I buy and trade a lot,  So my 35 is in but waiting on the rifle to sell,  I have a XD 40 SC for everyday want the 35 for woods carry and camping etc, Will get a lone wolf conversion for 9mm,  I know I know the 9mm is the cats meow for some just not my cup of tea,  I went in half and bought my son a 9mm and his wife shoots 9mm, But if it doesn't have a 4 in it I'm just not interested,  I have however switched to a SP 101 4.2" for woods carry and I love it,  Also want a G41 next,  I like accuracy and everything I have is accurate I'm sure  G34 is very accurate, But with the conversion I can shoot 9mm for cheap practice.  But if you have to submit your gun to +P+ or whatever you might as well just shoot a 40 or 45 IMHO and be done with it,  I hand load so I can take em up or down anyway.  I just wondered How people who own them like them and how they shoot.  I hear they are very good and the 35 should help with recoil or snap that a lot complain about but compared to my 44 mag the 40 is pretty tame to me.  As I get older and arthritis is affecting my hands who knows I may wind up a 9mm advocate, One thing Ive learned is never say never, I swore I would never have a 357 Mag,  I love my SP 101 Thanks to all replys and I'm looking for a holster so Thanks for that info

If it's for carrying in the woods I would definitely recommend the ALS from Safariland. Especially since you'll probably want to put a light on it.

I really like mine, except for the mag release. It is a gen 3 and is my around the house gun.  I have though about selling it for a G34, but I may just buy a conversion barrel for it and reshape the mag release.  Not sure yet as it is my only .40 cal gun.  Everything else is 9 or 45.
