How do you guys like them ? Held a limited edition grey the other day and had to buy it. I already have a shield, but the glock seemed lighter and a bit smaller. Which I like for conceal carry.

I like my M&Ps but I have too many guns now. Really looking to shoot my 19 and carry my 43. Probly sell some of my other guns.

Like mine, waiting on an iwb and owb to get here.
Changed sights, added mag extensions and have put about 500+ rnds thru it.

Not carrying it yet.

It's become my work carry gun, or go anywhere wear anything gun. With a good holster it's absurdly comfortable and concealable.
I shoot well with it, too.

How does it compare to the shield? I bought a shield when they first came out. I probably would have gone with the 43 if it was available at the time.
Post some pics of your grey 43.

I have always been a Glock guy.  I own M&P's (use one for work) and have shot plenty of other guns, but I have always been a Glock guy.

That said, for me, I didn't like the G43.  Don't know why really. I own a Shield and LOVE it.  It's the only M&P that I like better than a Glock.

So far, the G43 (G42) is the only Glock I really didn't like that much.

However, I know a ton of people that have the G43 and love it.

I've had a 43 for over a year now. I call it the gun I carry when I don't need a gun. It's great on my ankle or in my pants pocket. The only add ons I did to mine was trijicon night sights and Taran tactical +1 and +2 magazine base pads . Gun works great. Recoil with my carry round (Spper hold dot 124+P) can feel snappy compared to running it through a G19/17 etc but it's not a shoot all day range gun. I like it.

It's a lot harder to shoot than a G19 for me.
I carry it quite a bit though.

I started carrying mine daily late last year, it replaced my Springfield Armory XDs 45 that carried for over three years. IMHO the G43 is a great summer carry and/or super concealed option.

Any good ideas on a holster ? I dropped by serpa locks after a course and my instructor was against them. He told me Safariland. So I got a new 7377 als for my glock 19. I really like it. They don't make that model in a gas yet. Should I do a 7377 for the 43 ?

G code incog holster. I got a Glock 43 as a work gun to replace a G19. I am not a fan of the small grip and I originally shot the shield better but after time and adding a plus 2 extension it is feeling perfect. I think the recoil in the shield is still softer but I like the simplicity of glocks.

I carry a 43 most of the time. I have a Shield and like it but am used to the Glock trigger and it's a tad shorter in height. Shoots great no jams so far.

I like the 43. Its a good shoting Glock and has been 100% reliable for me so far. With upgraded tritium sights and pierce +1 grip extensions, I like it better than the M&P shield. My wife keeps it with her most of the time.

I'm a die-hard M&P guy for many years, but I never liked the Shield.  It has a weird style, the barrel is 1/2" too short for it's height and it's height is actually taller than my M&P9c.  I shot my new Glock 43 for the 2nd time today and was able to make hits on center mass of the target out to 25 yards and could do very fast doubletaps in the A zone very quickly.  I feel that the 43 is more shootable and then Shield for me.  I'm running the TTI +1 on the gun (7+1 rounds) and a TTI +3 extention on the reload.

I've been carrying it all this week after putting a few hundred rounds through it and the gun just runs.  I'm going to throw new sights on it and get a few other holsters and call it good.

The Glock 43 replaced my Kahr PM9 and XD-S 9mm for a deep conealment gun.  It will not be a EDC (that is M&P9c or Glock 19 depending on the day), but it will be my go to for ankle, pocket or deep concealment.

I agree. The 43 just feels lighter and better than the shield. I don't wig out about the round difference. Conceal carry for me, is most likely a Situation I hopefully only need to fire a round or two and run or escape the situation. Yes, I'd like the 19 with spare mags if I was on a swat team clearing houses. So size and conceal ability is big to me.

I'm one of those guys that waited for Glock to come out with a SS 9mm for over a decade. Gave up and got the PPS which is a good gun but I didn't care for it in Gen1 form. Switched to the Shield when they came out with a non-manual safety version which turned out to be maybe 6 months before the 43 came out. The Shield worked out OK for me. Wasn't crazy about the trigger but I didn't want to go the Apex route either.

I have to admit, I was very disappointed when the 43 was first released. I was hoping for something slightly bigger then the Shield (like a SS G19 instead of basically a SS G26) but have been a Glock guy for over 20 years and all my other SD and comp guns are Glocks so I had to at least try the 43 as soon as my LGS had one for rent. I shot it side by side with my Shield and hated the 43. My Shield felt better in my hand and I shot the Shield noticeably better so I wrote off the G43 and stuck with the Shield.

Fast forward a year or so later and my son wins a G43 and brings it home while he's on deployment so I decide to take it for a drive. I don't know what changed but holey shit, I am much more accurate with this 43 then I was with the last one or my Shield! I've had 3 or 4 people shoot both guns side by side and everybody shoots the 43 better. So I've confiscated it for the time being and it's my current EDC gun.

I'll have to buy another one when my son gets back and hope that one is as good as this one!

I carry in one of these most of the time...

I love this combo. Light weight, easy on and off. First IMB combo that I truly forget is there most of the time. I use a Galco Ankle Glove when I can't IWB

I recently got one and like it.  Nice to carry but I very quickly started having the problem with the mags hanging up on the mag release.  They are the newer 01 mags.  Not really thrilled with that.  Called Glock and they said it was due to the nature of single stack mags which sounds a little bogus.  They also said to send them the mags which I'm doing.  I'm also sending them the mag release.  If i cant change mags quickly and easily, it's a problem.  I trust my G26 more than the G43 at this time.

I had that issue with mine when I first bought it.  After a few trips to the range, and probably a few dozen mag cycles, it functions fine.

Known issue that takes 49 seconds to fix permanently. Remove mag catch and take the corner off the inner lip with a emery board or sand paper and reinstall.

A Glock armorer has to order it for you as far as I know. That should take it from about 8lbs to the stated 5.5.

42 and 43 are the same.

Here is a thread with before and after results and where to get it.

I've had 3 so far. My first being one I took in off trade from a guy maybe a few months after they came out cause I had something he really wanted and I got him to throw in a few extra things to even the deal out, Glock 43 among them. Had truglo sights on it, which wasn't my thing but they did work. Horrible trigger on that one, and was going to replace connector but then a guy offered me more for it than I had in it so I took the money and ran. Decide to wait a bit and get a later made one plus wife and I were buying our house and I needed the funds.

Second one I kept the longest, and replaced the connector with a Ghost connector and fell in love. In an Alien gear holster, almost forgot it was there. Was in process of figuring out which sights I wanted to install onto it and a good friend of mine fell in love with it when we were shooting one day. Asked me constantly what I would trade for it, but I was determined to keep it. Finally, my friend offered his Gen 2 Glock 23 I secreted lusted after (I know I'm weird) plus a nice amount of cash. Adding to the fact he knew I had upcoming expenses, I made the deal but shortly after got depressed cause I missed it so much.

Just recently sold off other guns to fund my last Glock 43, which will go no where!! I'm planning on keeping it for quite some time, especially considering I got it cheaper than I expected through blue label program. Have already got talon grips ordered, ghost connector, Vicker tactical magazine release installed, and Vicker tactical magazine extension ordered. Ran the tti extended +2 but kept having problems with spring even after new one was installed.

I've carried everything from snub nose 38, Walter ppk, Ruger lcp, Glock 19, Glock 26, 1911s and loads more. Glock 43 is working best fir me for deep concealment CCW.

LEO, have carried daily for 20+ years.  Have the TLR-6 on my 43.  I am not a holster snob (no offense those loving the big name makers...).  That said, there are a TON of good holsters out there.  These are the ones I settled on and have been satisfied - price/value, availability (in days not months) and construction quality.

Bought IWB KYDEX for quick carries (to the gym, to the store in shorts and tee shirt...)

Bought IWB hybrid KYDEX/leather for all-day carry and tucked in shirt carry.  VERY comfortable model.

Bought OWB for duty, plain clothes carry.
