I was at the range today with one of my 43's shooting drills.  Just after loading the mag (with admittedly under powered cci blazer brass) the neighboring bench went down range.  By the time they got back from the 100 yard.  I forgot which drill I was going to run.  Fired the drill and had one additional round.  I dropped the mag, fired and the empty "ejected' out the mag well.

I proceeded to fire about 10 rounds with just a loaded chamber and no mag.

Most were like a reverse stovepipe.  Slide closing on a empty case with the majority of the brass in the magwell.
3 more ejected out the mag well.
Only one ejected normally.

I am not worried, as I have about 500 rounds through the gun but maybe the mag plays a role in ejection for this model.  I am sure the week ammo is also a factor.

You explanation is a little tough to follow.

So I'm going to take a stab at this... anyway

Sounds like under powered ammo, that is causing the slide to short/cycle stroke.

I'm curious how you loaded the 10 rounds with no mag?

Careful finger drills

Sorry,

I can why it didn't make sense and I have corrected the post.  Trying to do too many things at once.
Firing from a loaded chamber, with no mag in the gun - for which I did 10 times.  I got the above results.

when firing a glock 43 without a magazine.  I observed the casings are droped into the grip as opposed to being flung to the right.

That's normal for Glocks.  They rely on the magazine to help bounce cases out.  That's why they have so many problems with sucky ejection.

Yup, normal for all Glocks

I would imagine that's a function of pretty much every mag-fed semi-auto pistol out there.

I've seen it happen to M&P's and other guns also. Without the additional resistance of pushing another round out of the magazine the slide moves too fast for the empty case to eject properly, underpowered ammo probably exacerbates it as well.
