I've already discussed this build 2-3 months ago and it is still giving me fits. The build is as follows.
Glock17 Gen 3 frame (had a local guy do the stipple job) Zev complete slide assembly Zev dimpled threaded barrel Stock trigger and Dues Ex Machina flat face trigger assembly Multiple reduced power springs (recoil and striker) Uncaptured and captured guide rod Stock Glock mags Gemtech Multimount The gun runs great unsuppressed with the different variety of spring combos, stock and Machina trigger and ammo brands. The only problem I can't seem to remedy is with the slide going into full battery while running suppressed. It feeds fine with the exception of me having to put the slide into full battery with a small bump of my thumb on the rear of the slide. It's as if it's catching somewhere. Could the slide be hanging up on the top of the barrel hood due to the front end weight of the suppressor?? The suppressor runs fine on my HK USP Elite with a Jarvis barrel and has also run fine on multiple other set ups I've run in the past, including a stock Gen 3 G17 with a LoneWolf threaded barrel. |

Recoil spring 12lb, 14lb & 15lb
Striker spring 4lb, 4.5lb & 5lb. I've not used increased power springs. I was told by LoneWolf that if you are running into feeding issues with a suppressor to use a lighter recoil spring. The reduced recoil springs made my G22 40SW/AAC Evo40 run like a champ, although I was having a bad feed issue. The bullet was being jammed into the hood. With this said, the pressures are completely different from a 9mm to 40SW I've done the 12lb/4lb, 14lb/4.5lb & 15lb/5lb combos I've done all three of the reduced recoil springs with the stock weight striker spring. All of this with the same exact out come and the gun runs great unsuppressed with all the combo I use Rem Oil Aerosol to clean and lube along with Shooters Choice red gun grease. |

Sounds like you've built a nice pistol...
Does it run suppressed fine for a couple mags before the issue starts? Aftermarket barrels sometimes by design have pretty tight chambers, and combined with dirty range ammo and the blowback from the suppressor some fouling can accumulate fairly quickly in the chamber and cause a failure to go fully into battery. I had the issue with a HK USP with an aftermarket threaded barrel. Hope you get it sorted out. |

Magtech, S&B and PMC The gun is clean and lubed and the problem running suppressed starts on the first round. Is there some polishing I can do on the hood of the barrel that could possibly help? |
| Take the barrel out of the pistol and set it muzzle down on a flat table. Take one of the cartridges you have been shooting and hold it just right over the chamber mouth and drop it in. Does the round fully seat down into the barrel or does it face a little resistance? You might just have a tight chamber and may need to have the chamber reamed a bit. |
