GEN4 doesn't count! I agree. It's like judging Sigs on their P250 series, or S&W on their Sigma series. I might pick up a Gen4 at soon, but it will most likely be a 26. Haven't heard any bad reports about the 26/27. I'm assuming because nothing has really changed on them (aside from the backstraps/grip texture). They already had dual-recoil springs. I'm still leery of the 19/17's in Gen4, personally. |

Everyone keeps jumping on the spring-bashing bandwagon without any real data to back it up. Todd currently has fixed his Gen4 17 by replacing the extractor... go check it out on his blog. link? Um.... http://pistol-training.com/ |

Quoted: GEN4 doesn't count! Ditto, I would personally put the G-36 in there also. I owned one back in '01, finally traded it to a friend in '03. I hated the thing!!! I know they have worked out all the problems, but if my G-36 had been my first Glock, it would have been my last! I would not have ever bought another Glock, it still gets my dander up if someone talks about how great the G-36 is!!!! I know, I know they are a great weapon now. I'll wait and see how things work out with the 4th gen's. I might get one someday!!!! |
