I just emailed Glockmeister my serial number so they could check for any upgrades. I have a 2nd generation Glock 23. They replied with an email that I was in need of the extractor upgrade. This would cost $26 plus shipping and handling. I have had this Glock for 10 years and it has never had a failure. What is the problem with the extractor that I have? I would appreciate any info on this from you Glock experts.
Thanks

No problems at all. GM is just trying to sell parts to keep out of the federal penitentiary. Sentencing is in Mar/April IIRC.

He is alleged to have sold a bunch of glocks to some non US citizen who got caught trying to take them out of the US and back to Europe.

Very interesting...and shady.  How would continuing business help keep him out of prison?  Or was that just a sarcasitc statement?

Statement over at GT

It's public knowledge. The owner of GM has something like 170+ counts of importing guns without a license, selling guns to convicted felons and changing serial number plates violations. This is why you don’t see receivers or slides for sale on their web site. From what I’ve read on GT(before the thread gets locked/deleted because the owner is friends with GM) one of the members was selling the Glocks also. Don’t know if he is in trouble or not.

The only upgrade that any factory Glock needs is Tritium sights.  I have a Gen 1 19 and it has never failed me.

That's cool if it is 1st gen as there were VERY few(like 10k, IIRC) of them produced before the 2nd gen came out.

Very interesting.  It sounds like a conflict of interest to me.  If the admin at GT wants people to stop speculating about GM then maybe he should take it upon himself to post the facts as to what is going on with GM, lock the thread, and let people make their minds up...

Listen to this,
I Faxed Glock about this and 15 min  later I got a call saying there is nothing that needs replacing on my gun and that they have been getting several of these inquiries from people who have gotten bad info from Glockmeister. Since I am the original owner of the gun they said I would be notified of any such recalls or required upgrades. They said they are looking into Glockmeisters actions. Heck of a way to drum up business. I then emailed Glockmeister and asked them to explain why they say I need work done to my Glock pistol that Glock denies 100%. Of course I never got a reply. I hadn't heard about their legal trouble, but the person from Glock told me to be very careful about dealing with Glockmeister.
Lesson learned.

Glock customer service is top notch.  I just basically got my entire pistol minus the frame replaced by Glock free of charge.  I was not even the original owner.

Go directly to Glock. They replaced/upgraded 3-4 parts on my G17 Gen 1 at no charge.
