Stopped in a new shop a few days ago.  Inventory was poor and prices were high, but I thought I'd buy something just to support a local shop.  I didn't see any Glock magazines so I asked him if he had any.  The reply was that Glock doesn't let vendors have them for free anymore.

Is Glock charging a fee for dealers who want to stock Glock products?  Is yes, is this something new?

I did give him this look , but still wondered if there was any truth to it.

I would check other shops. They are available online at Cheaper than Dirt or Midway USA. I did run into problems finding G30SF mags but ended up purchasing more G21SF mags. Good luck.

What he probably means is he got caught stealing them out of new gun boxes and Glock cut him off.

While not super cheap ,with the exception of AR magazines Glock factory mags are about the most reasonable and available mags out there.

Shop owner is either an idiot or was trying to be a wise ass to your question . Move on .

As for general Glock magazine availability, I would say it's in the category of easily available.  Every single local to me shop is stocked to the gills with Glock mags.  Online they are plentiful as well.  Prices are extremely reasonable hovering around $23/each.

Want to pay a lot for mags, buy a Sig or HK.

I hope he thought you were asking about the Glock Annual or Glock Report magazines (the ones you read)...if not he's a moron and I'd move on.

He's an idiot. I work part time in a fun store and we have to get our mags through our distributor. Unfortunately we don't get good prices! Our wholesale price through the distributor is what I can buy them from Botach for.

CDNN - buy Glock mags at good prices all day long.

Seems like the going "good" rate for them right now is around $22.  Occasionally, you find them for under $20, stock up if you do.  If you need some mags for the range, buy a bunch of the Korean Glock mags for $8 each.  They work fine, and you won't feel bad about them getting beat up on the range with reload drills.  Save the OEM ones for when you really need them.

He was talking about magazines you read. You should have asked for the clips.

I don't think so.  I find Glock mags to be priced pretty high compared to my other guns.  1911, Beretta 92, AR & AK.

Umm, most 1911 mags aren't exactly cheap, neither are many Beretta mags.  Sure, you can find cheap ones for those guns but you can also get cheap Korean mags for your Glock.

Idiot Gun Dealer!!

Glock is a business.  It sells it's products to dealers so that they can sell to the public.  It's not a charity!

Find yourself a new gun dealer who knows at least a little about guns and business.

+1000. Many dealers got caught doing this. "No, Gen4's don't come with three magazines, they come with two magazines just like Gen3's"
