Looking for combat sight recommendations for a couple of my Glocks.

Most of my Glocks have Trijicon tritium nights on them. I have not looked at sight options in several years. I know that now there are newer, better, cooler options.

What is the hive opinion of the best combat sights (day or night) out there for Glocks right now?

Price is not a factor.

Look at two:

Ameriglo is my favorite..... Lime green ring around tritium vial in the front and tritium vials in the rear with no outline... draws your focus to the front sight.

Trijicon HD sights are similar to the Ameriglo and have either green or orange ring in front sight. Rear has a U notch to give a nice ball in gutter sight picture.

Both are very fast and durable for a fighting gun... Ameriglo are slightly more accurate on my Glocks at 75 and 100 yards.

I put Ameriglo I-Dot Pros on my G19. VERY nice sights and, for me, the single dot at the bottom of the rear sight notch works a lot better than two dots in the rear sight. The tritium insert in the front sight is surrounded by a lime green ring (you can also get orange, I think, maybe red) and is VERY fast to pick up. Obligatory pics follow. Kinda hard to get good pics, this is the best I could get, you'll get the idea.

Last weekend, I shot a friend's Glock 41 that he had TruGlo TFOs put on (I think that was what they were, fiber optic inserts with tritium tubes behind the fiber optics to make them light up at night). Pretty good sights and offered a good sight picture if you like 3 dot sights. I have read in the past that the fiber optic rods have a tendency to pop out, though, so I don't know about them. They guy whose gun they were on didn't have a lot of rounds through it yet buy loved them.

Got Ameriglo Pro I Dots Green/Green, for my G19.  Awesome, speedy target acquisition!  Love my Meprolight Tru Dots on my G17 too!  Best conventional 3 dot sights for my eyes, SUPER bright!

Again, Ameriglo, but I like the CAP(Combat Application) sights.

Have 2 sets, a third on order.

I've got the Trijicon HD (Yellow) on my Glock 17.  I prefer center-hold and at 25 yards it was several inches high.  It required a sub 6 o'clock hold.  The standard Trijicon HD GL101 front sight post is .215 high and you can get purchase individual front sights alone from OpticsPlanet so I picked up a .230 front and that brought it right where I want it.  Now...I love it.  They are really nice sights.  Fast.  The U-Notch leaves lots of light and a fat front sight...with that big yellow dot that draws your eye to it.  I find my horrible eyes really have a MUCH easier time picking up the front sight and holding focus on it.

I picked up the same for my Glock 19, and as above, the stock .215 height front sight left my POI way too high.  So I ordered a new one that was .230 like I did with the Glock 17 and it was still way too high.  So now I've order the max height they offer - .245.  I haven't received it yet to see if that did the trick or not.

The only complaints I have is that, to me, the rear sights are a bit "sharp" in places and tend to snag & tear a garment.  Also, the fact that if you need to swap out the front sight to adjust your POI that the price is really 'higher' than you'd expect once you factor in the new front sight.

I really like the look of those I-DOT Pro's that Bub75 posted above.  If this last front sight doesn't work out on my Glock 19 I may cut bait & give those I-Dot Pro's a try.  Thanks for posting that pic Bub75.  I really like the way that looks.

I've got mepro tru dots on the 26 and ameri i dot pro's with the red front on the 17. I much prefer the idot pro's. After the holidays I'll end up putting a set of idots on the 26. With that said, the tru dots(about 1.5yr old)seem a little brighter than the idots(less than 2months old) if thats a factor to you.  But the idots are plenty bright enough. My eye's work better with with lining 2 dots or
bar/dot up better than 3 dots . Plus with the red outline front, point shooting is really quick and on target like a red dot

I'm a huge fan of the Trijicon HD's on my G19

But my G22 just has standard Trijicon 3 dots is is incredibly accurate...

all of the above recommendations are solid though. Can't really go wrong.

I've always been comfortable with https://store.teamglock.com/gun-parts/slide-parts/sights-tools/glock-steel-rear-sight-6-5mm.html
in the rear and https://store.teamglock.com/gun-parts/slide-parts/sights-tools/glock-steel-front-sight-w-screw.html
up front.

For my carry guns, I rock the Ameriglo GT-514

It's the Defoor sights, but with a tritium on the bottom of the front sight.

The sight itself is well thought out and brutally simple.

Rear sight provides the right amount of room for a damn good balance of speed and accuracy. Big pro is that the rear is 90 degrees for one handed slide manipulation.

The front sight is thin enough for super accurate shots. It's almost like bulleyes target sights, serrated to keep that sight nice and black even in bright lighting condidtions.

Tritium is on the botttom of the front sight. Only sight I know of that has this feature. When looking through the sights, the trit is out the sight picture for those precise shots. In low light, the trit shows for shots 15 yards and in. It's rare to be making shots past that in low light.

For $79, this is a GREAT deal.

I'm going to buck the trend here, but I run 10-8 Performance sights on all my iron-sighted Glocks. I run fiber optic fronts and plain black rear.

i just put a set of Wilson Combat/Vickers sights on my glock 43.  My mother has vickers sights on her G19 and i really liked them so i bought some for my new gun.
She has it set up with tritium on the front and an all steel/non illuminated sight in the back.  It seems to be what all the cool kids are doing these days.
I think she bought the gun like that, it is one of those Vickers FDE models.

Wilson Combat makes a set that are like the Heinie sights where you line the tritium dots up on top of eachother.
Mike is the traditional 3-dot as that is what they make for the 43 (orange in the back, green up front)
I like them, very crisp edges.

If you are looking for competition sights, i would go with Dawson Precision sights.

I also like the Trijicon HD. I dont like how wide the rear notch as well as how thick the front sight is.
They are very fast though/easy to pick up that front sight.

Wilson / Vickers is what I run on my duty and carry guns.  I run Fiber front and love them, very durable.  They also have gold bead and tritium.

Just ordered Hacks for my G43.  Should give me a similar sight picture to my competition G34 with Warren Sevignys.

+1

After doing a class with Frank Proctor, I'm now a believer in FO sights.  I have Taran Tacticals on my new G19, had Warren's on my M&P9. Still got Tritium sights on my P-07, but those will be swapped soon.

A lot of people worry about the fiber breaking.  If it does, the sight still works.  And night sights are great, but odds are if its dark enough to need tritium sights, you are going to need supplemental light anyways to ID the target.

I just installed the AmeriGlo sights on my shield. I went with the pro I dot set up. Love it! The Tritium front with the green outline makes it so fast on target. Will be switching all the rest of my pistol sight to these.

I've been running Defoor Night Sights (GT-514) on my EDC G19 in a RCS Eidolon.

Trit is on the bottom half of the front sight. Perfect for those shots in dark. It's rare to be taking shots past 15 yards in pitch black.

Front sight is also narrow. Amazing for accuracy at 25 yards bullseye. Rear sight has the just right amount of width for perfect balance of speed and accuracy.

No ramps on the rear either. 90 degree rear sight are great for one handed slide manipulations.

I do run TTI fiber optic sights on some of my glocks. However, the holster must be enclosed. Otherwise, there is a change the FO can be broken when drawn from a open bottom holster. Getting caught in garment and all.

THIS!!!

The CAP sights are by far the fastest sights I have ever used.  They are a "drive the dot" style sight, meaning that you need only cover the intended target with the lime square, and squeeze.  The rear sight employs a horizontal bar,

which aids or guides your eye right to the front.

While most sights such as the Pro i Dots run taller, the CAP runs low, like a .165 front.....closer to the bore axis.

Don't get me wrong, the Pro I Dot is an awesome set, but I just took them off my G17 EDC and installed the CAP sights instead....with much better accuracy as my end result.
Target below is a 1" black repair paster on a 3x5 card.  This was shot at 10 yards.
