I own some expensive 1911s, so I feel I can say this -- there's nothing those expensive guns can do that a box stock Colt can't in my experience. The higher end guns will be more accurate, but you're not likely to notice the difference and if you do it won't be astronomical. My Colts feed, fire, and eject just as well as the fancy guns do. What you do get for your money is, usually, a better finish, better attention to details like rounding edges, etc, and extras like night sights (which may or may not be necessary). You can probably replace "Colt" with any of the good Springfield Armory or other reliable manufacturers, but I can only tell you my personal experience. Just my opinion after having been shooting 1911s for a while. I'm never getting rid of my expensive guns, but I don't really "need" them. |

They're in Co. I've purchased from them before. www.jensenarms.com/ |
That is an awesome pic!! It seriously makes me want to go get a Les Baer |
| That TRS looks great. I also like the EB Special Forces eventhough it's about $400 more. Can you change anything on these two from the factory? I like the price and the solid trigger on the TRS, but I like the finish and the absence of the foward cocking serrations on the SF's. Can I change any of these to get exactly what I want, or would I have to go with a full custom? |
