Has anybody tried the Grip Force beaver tails on the G19 Gen4? I've read some mixed reviews on them. Don't know if they don't fit, or if people just aren't  installing them properly. I like the medium beaver tail on my Gen4, but I don't really like the full backs trap aspect of it. I even thought about getting another medium beaver tail back strap, and cutting it just above where the texture starts, but I don't know how that transition line would feel in my hand. I don't know... I guess I need to just test my different back straps out, vs no back strap at all, and see what feels better.

I installed the GFA on my 3rd gen Glock 19 and love it.

for the price, its worth the experiment. If you dont like it, you're only out 20 bucks or so?

Made my own. My 17 is shaved and stippled so it can't use them anymore. Fits nice on my 19's though.

Took these with my phone.

Just put one on my gen4 19, and really like it. I was running the medium beavertail backstrap but just found it was unnecessary all the way to the bottom of the grip. I ordered the GripForce and mine points well now and I like it better than the full backstrap.

Theyre pretty cheap, give em a try if you don't want to cut up your stock ones.

Mine is a 2012 so it didn't come with beavertail straps.  Will a call to Glock change that, or do they make you buy 'em?

Gen 4's came out late 2009-early 2010. First run didn't have backstraps.

Give glock a call, they give away swag all the time via email request. I'm sure you spending $500+ warrants free backstraps.

Keep in mind guys the earlier Gen 4's that didn't come with beavertails don't have the tab on the back of the frame either for locking them on.  They still work but can be bent down and might break if you snag it on something.

mine is a Gen4.  As stated, no beavertails but it does have 2 different straps.  So it doesn't have an upper tab/cut to hold the beavertail strap?

Check it, it's either smooth or has a small square tab.

Wood hand saw because it was on my work bench. Then 220 and 1000 grit.

If your glock will take a Gen 4 beavertail just cut it down.  Easy to do and will fit better than trying to fit a GF. LOP will also be shorter with no lower grip "hump" compared to using a GF.

Also just wanted to throw out there if you have a gen4 FDE frame, the FDE piece from GripForce is a different color. Ill see if I can get a pic up of it, not really a big deal to me but it might bother some people.

Good point, I noticed that too. I'm going with everybody else, and just cutting my OEM beaver tail down. The Glock OEM panels are so cheap, if I screw one up, I'll just order another set.

I kinda like it honestly, I have a 50 shades of FDE thing going on with it, the slide cerakote and the tan X300
