| I have a P226 Blackwater with the black wood grips. The wood grips are a bit to thick for my liking. Will the screws off the wood grips work with the plastic grips or are they to long. |

The screws from the wood grips are too long and have a smaller head. They were sticking a 1/16- 1/8" into the magwell. I thought when I bought the gun there was an extra set of screws with the plastic grips. However, I found the grips, but can't find the screws in my gun safe. Any ideas on where I can buy a new set of screws?

| If you have a Lowes near by pick up a package of HILLMAN brand (# 880390) #8 Lock Washers/internal tooth. They‘re in the specialty bolts/washers and screws section where the pull out drawers are. They come four to the package for about a dollar. Use them with the longer grip screws you have on hand and the OE polymer grips. Work just fine. |

Went to Lowes got the internal lock washers, now the screws fit perfect. Thanks for the tip. |
