OK don't flame me too bad on this one. I was amateur hour at my house and when I finished cleaning my wife's M&P9 I installed the guide rod backwards. Now the gun is jammed with the GR and barrel sticking out front about a 1/2 inch and the slide will not go back far enough  to remove,

Anybody know how to fix this? I am gathering all of the original paperwork and will probably have to send back to Smith & Wesson. Sending it back from Hawaii is a HUGE PITA.

It was a great day at the range until then.

Can you get the slide inspection plate off the back (similar to a Glock)? I think you can trip the sear or connector off the striker and allow the slide to come forward off the front again. Not sure though. I own a few Glocks, but no M&Ps.
