Looking for something similar as this lock box (See below)from Cabelas so I can secure my gun during travel if needed. I need something that is big enough (Length/width) to secure a G22 at most for short periods, i.e. Vehicle/plane travel. Anyone have any ideas? I have a small Storm case, but its too bulky.

I have two of those - the larger size. I don't know the dimensions on a G22 but it's large enough to hold a CZ sp-01. It fits inside my truck center console and the cable snakes out and wraps around the bucket seat mount. My suitcase has a zip out lining so I can unzip it a few inches and wrap the cable around the metal frame of the suitcase. They would either neither to cut the cable or steal the entire suitcase.

I have that same lock box as my "locking container" for my truck when I'm unable to cc into somewhere. I've used it for a few years now. It fits my G21 (or 17) in a belt clip nylon holster with a mag in it no problem. I leave the box unlocked when not in use and a box key on my truck key ring. When I get out of the truck the box cable is long enough to be set on the seat while tethered to the under seat mounts. Through the gun in, lock it, and tuck it back under the seat. My brother does the same thing with his G19. I have also flown twice with this box. I attach the cable to the pop up handle frame of the suitcase. Worked great with no problems. With the gun and two mags, it was a tight fit, but worked. Good box for the money. I haven't seen anything close to it do the same thing. |

I got mine at a gunshow......bring your pistol and you can see if it fits. Gander Mt of all places has them for slightly less ($25.). |

Yep, have those they work great. The large size will hold a G22. Here is the Center of Mass brand.
