Is there a noticable difference between the orignial gun scrubber product from birchwood casey and thier new synthetic formula that they say is safe for camo finishes and polymer components??

Is the original formula to harsh to use on camo finishes? I own a bunch of mossy 500s and 835s in camo so I dont want to trash the finish if I can help it.

I ask becuase wal-mart had both products on sale for 4.99$ a can but the synthetic safe formula was a 10oz can and the original formula was a 16oz can so Id like to get more for what id pay. Ill buy both if I have to. I hear its a great product.

any info would help.

thanks,

The regular gun scrubber seems basically equivalent to carb cleaner to me. I know carb cleaner will melt some plastics and paint, so I would imagine it wouldn't be terribly good for any type of painted on gun finish.
