| I am looking for high capacity magazines for my pistol. I am assuming the pre-ban 15 round magazines made for the .40 Sigma will work for my SW40VE. CDNN Investments used to sell them for $69 new but they are out of stock I assume for good. Now all I can find are some used ones at www.jocoemprise.com for $75 each. Is this the best deal I'm going to get, or does anyone know where I can get some new for a reasonable price, and has anyone ever used Sigma clips in the newer VE's? Thanks for any help you might offer. |
| What are the laws concerning carrying a newer gun with a pre-ban clip? If I was legally carrying and shot someone in self defense and they found I had 16 rounds in my gun would they charge me? Is there a difference in the law's eyes between carrying a pre-ban 15rd mag and a 15rd mag marked "For Law Enforcement Use Only?" Also is it the capacity of the magazine that gets you in trouble, or the number of rounds? For example what if I was using a 15 round mag but only put 10 bullets in it? |

The law only concerns guns sold NIB, they have to have 10rd mags only. One can own, use & be perfectly with hi-cap mags in any gun. CA laws may vary, I don't know. Yes, LEO mags mean just THAT! That may change after the AW ban dies this Nov, Again, I don't know for sure. My personal advice is to junk the Sigma for a better gun if you're gonna spend the $$$ for hi-caps. Every Sigma owner I 've ever heard was likewarm at best about them. Maybe a Glock would be a choice for you? |
| actually the sigma i have has done really well...its not a glock but it has always served me very well which is something i cant say for some other brands of semi autos out there.. lets just say that i would take one over any ruger semi auto any day of the week and twice on sunday. |
