Yes!! I just put that same safety lever in a full size and it makes the gun fit and feel so much better!

Thats fantastic, thanks for sharing. I don't have a HK45C but I do have the USP9C, is the safety lever that much better?
Thanks |

Add the back half (two cuts) of the front charging texture like what the P30 has. And optic ready would be ideal, but that might be a bridge too far. |

I like it. I picked up a USPc 40 a few months ago and have been thinking of trying the 45c safety lever. It looks like it would fit my hand better. I did add one of the P30 17 round magazine spring kits to one of my magazines and it hold 13 rounds now. From what I was able to tell HK uses the same follower for 9/40; it loads 13 easily and there is no issue inserting it on a closed slide. Only about 100 rounds through it so far but no issues. I believe those spring bits would make your 13 round mags into 15 round mags.

What made you pick the usp compact over say a p30? I’ve always wanted a usp compact but have a p30 and didn’t think I was missing out. You have peaked my curiosity. Thanks

Thanks View Quote Two reasons: - Owner feedback, doesn't matter if die hard HK or just part of a collection, the USP and USPc seem to always be the darlings. I took it as if you buy a "Porsche, get the 911 first". - See above, peak reliability. I also wanted to keep it at the G19 size and the P30 mirrors my G45 in size. Now I'm off to also look at P30's as well |

I have to u load some stuff before I can buy more. I’m getting out of the sig p365’s and if they sell, I may look for a usp 9 compact. |

It's not as fast, but I've only had it a month - but holy shit am I more accurate. Yet to have an issue, and it's fed everything Ive shot through it: Wolf steel case, blazer aluminum, various 115/124 grain ball, and HST's. I feed mine mostly 124 gr ball and 124 gr HSTs. It eats it happily. Also the JM Kydex is awesome it’s what I carry my USP in. I also recommend putting a V3 (decocker only) plate in it, I hate manual safeties. Here is a 15 round group from 10 yards that I shot yesterday: |

I may also grab a 9mm compact at some point but the modular grip is what made me get the 30sk vs the Compact first. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/30714/P30sk-3240619.jpg View Quote Nice! I've had the VP9 and P2000, like both grips (sans lack of texture on P2000), so was skeptical on the USPc (been years since I held one - first time in a while was at ffl picking it up) with them being "chunky". I'd say it is more in line with the thinness of the CZ-75 compact with thin grips on it. It's a smidge thinner than a G19. Front to back is about the same on all of them. |

The USPc 9mm in LEM (V7) is:
81000333 - (2) 13rd magazines and standard sights 81000334 - (3) 13rd magazines and night sights 81000335 - (2) 10rd magazines and standard sights There might be a 10rd version with 3 mags and night sights out there also, just couldn't find it with a quick search. |

Sigh.
Which Dawson sights did you order and which options for the JM Custom Kydex holster did you choose? I just installed the HK45 mag release and safety on my compact and this gun is so much more usable. Still hunting for that compact hammer. Edit: also installed the 15rd to 17rd conversion kit on the 13rd compact mags. |

Thanks for this post. I’m returning to HKs after years of being away so reading this is timely and nostalgic and awesome. Seems like the USPs may be enjoying renewed interest. I also found a low cost P2000 v1 LEM that is en route to me, in addition to my USP9c.
Does your USP9c still function as a V1 DA/SA, correct? I assume the hk45 hammer is easier to thumb back for cocked/locked SA carry? |

This thread has me shopping for a USPc now. OP, the mods are interesting. The one gripe I've had with these is the decock/safety lever making the gun all that much more wide at that point but I prefer DA/SA so ruled out the LEM (no lever). Does the HK45c lever make the width that much smaller? It looks like it does.

How did I miss this thread? I have a Langdon USPc 9mm with an RMR. I put the ambi safety from my HK45 on it when I converted the HK45 to LEM. It’s definitely an improvement over the USP safety. One day I’ll get around to swapping all of my non-LEM USPs to the HK45 safety.

Not sure if they would do the work if you sent them your USP or not. |
