Wow!
I owned the HK45C and sold it regretably but I bought 2 x HK P30's and they have been my go to and carry gun for 95% of the time. My Favorite 9mms hands down. I came across a great price on an HK45 full size here on the board. Bought it and got it on Thursday. Played with it most the day and had really decided it was just too big for my needs...... YEA until today.
Had to go get some practice in with the Berreta M9 for "All Army" in February/March so hit the range and decided, might as well take the HK45 as well, even though I had already resigned to reselling it.
Took 100 rounds of USA Ammo's 230gr Ball (Not the winchester stuff). While at the range I was comparing the M9 and the HK45 size wise, the HK is actually shorter in length but about a halt inch taller, NO biggy really. Then I made the mistake of shooting it.
First shot, I was kinda screwing around on the 50 yard line. Sent a round down range at an 8" steel plate and......... DING!!!!!!!!!!
HUh?, thats funny had to be luck right?, I really wasn't even trying. (same thing my fellow team member said).
Ok 2nd round , Ding!!!!! 3... Ding, 4.... Ding!!!!!
All hits just below center line. Pretty much POA.
The rest of the 100 rounds was done with different distances and combat style doubles and triples, without a single hitch. Softest shooting 45 I think I have ever handled. The 45C was about the same, but I really think it is considerably softer than the FNP 45 I breifly owned. BIG difference there was the ergo's are way better on the HK45.

HOOVER FREAKING DAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

This baby is definately staying in the stable for awhile, maybe forever!!!!!!!
just thought I would share. If wasnt snowing today I would have gotten some range pics too, sorry. Just porn for now.

THIS WOULD BE JOHN WAYNE'S GUN if he was still alive today!!!!!

Love my USP45, can't wait to get a HK45.  They both fit my paws just right and shoot like a dream.

I've never been a fan of DA/SA, but I wouldn't mind having THAT DA/SA gun

DA/SA is s mute point to me, I shoot and practice with everything and never let it bother me. What does bother me is ergonomics, if the gun doesn't point right and doesn't feel right in hand it doesn't really matter to me.
Triggers can be improved on everygun. I will probably send this to Bill Springfield for a Trigger job as well at some point when I get bored with it..

HK makes good stuff.

Why are you so surprised?

I realize that, like I said I have 2 x P30s, I guess I am more surprised in the differences experianced in felt recoil accuracy and ergonomics and how it truely makes this a wonderful Bullet launcher. I personally just feel a stark difference to similar designs currently on the market.
again My personal experiance in how this pistol fits me.

Nice HK45 Chuck.  Glad you enjoy it...

It's nice to see a great gun passed along to someone who can truly appreciate it.

+1 on the HK45

I dont hardly take my 1911 out anymore becuase I am so much more accurate with the HK. I'm talking I shrink my groups by 2/3rds with this baby. I love it. And I dont understand what people say about the trigger sucking. Maybe its because I have never shot a "race gun", but I think its trigger is just fine.

If I were to buy a gun tomorrow without price being a consideration,  it would be the HK 45.

That's HK45 if you please.  It cuts down on confusion.
Stupid HK firearm naming dept.

For as long as I can remember the USP chambered in .45 ACP has been referred to as a HK 45:

People around here in my area call that the USP 45, , but whatever floats your boat.

On another note, why do so many people think HK's are so expensive?
Gun for Gun against a Glock or a Springfield , or M&P, maybe if your talking New from a dealer (but who buys new anymore ) But the majority of people I know, myself included, will buy say a Glock then throw different sites on it....Ching.... Then have a grip Job done....ching...... then replace the Slide stop and put a different trigger in it...ching ching......etc.. etc...
Other than Night Sites, which I dont even bother with, unless I am board. I haven't wanted or felt the need to do anything to my P30's or HK45 at this point. Heck I mentioned a trigger job above, but the more I shoot this thing the smoother it gets....

I guess I am just rambling here but end result and investment in pistol looks the same to me.

You're just jealous 'cause you can't afford one.

At least that's what I hear, anytime I voice a complaint about any HK product.

I have a HK45 and a P30, love them both.  No complaints.

I just added Heine straight-8 night sights (painted the front sight) to the P30.  I really like them so far but haven't had a chance to shoot them yet, I will tomorrow.
I also chopped the slide lever down smaller.  I'm thinking about getting some trigger work done as well.

The HK45 I haven't done a thing to.  I'm thinking about the LEM conversion though.  Can't decide

Love mine too.  Took it to the range a couple of days ago to break it in and fell in love.

No longer has Surefire light(it's on my go to XD45), I swapped to a TLR1, big mistake, the glass cracked during my shooting.
