| Now that this pistol has been on the market a few years - I am curious if there is anyone that wouldn't trust it as their go to gun? I've read about the torture tests etc but still looking for additional feedback. Thanks. |

have you read this: http://pistol-training.com/archives/4027?
50,000 rounds and only 2 problems (the third problem was him putting it back together wrong). he averaged cleaning it only every like 7000 rounds. HK45 is bomb proof, good to go. btw: he's currently doing a test on a glock 17, he had 6 jams in the first like 3000 rounds or so do to a faulty part from glock. |

Solid proof of the pistol's reliability. |

God help me but I'm a firepower snob. I'd probably have bought an HK45 by now if they held 12 rounds. I'll stick with my three USPs. Really? 2 fucking rds has shut the door for you? That's stupid as hell. I know it is, but I have or have had, soooo many .45ACPs that held 12 - 15 rounds that I raise a disapproving eyebrow at any modern full-sized polymer handgun that only holds 10 rounds. Anything bigger than a G30 needs to have a larger capacity. Sorry. And the cheapass, worthless Superluminova sights are completeley retarded. For a fucking thousand dollars, put real night sights on them. Yeah, yeah, I've read all the "it's for importation" online speculation. Those sights are hokey as hell. I have two P30s, so I know exactly how these sights behave. I don't want to hold my bedside gun up to a damn lamp every night in the hope that if someone breaks in a 4am the cheesy things will still glow green. Great gun, no doubt, but like I said before, for the money there are more appealing options for me. ETA: Lest anyone doubt my H&K love. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i73/tjhands/IMG_0098.jpg [/quote] I agree about the sights but if a gun offers more in ergonomics, pointability, and usability, 2 rds means squat. You can get over two rounds for a step up. |
