What can anyone tell me about the HS pistols?
The Springfield XD models have something to do with them?

HS Arms manufactured and imported the HS2000 pistol to the US up to about a year or so ago, when Springfield Armory bought the marketing rights. The HS2000 and the Springfield XD9 are basically the same pistol. They're both made in the same manufacturing facility in Croatia. Springfield Armory has stated that they will honor the warranty on HS Arms pistols, and from what I've heard, they are making good on that statement.

Actually, the HS2000 and the Springfield XD are exactly the same pistol. The only changes were in the logo and stampings on the slide.

The HS/XD is a world class pistol. It uses that same grip angle as the SiGs and in almost exactly the same size as the SiGPro series. Here is my HS2000 (top) and one of my SiGPros.

I've had one of the HS2000s since they hit the shelves and it has been near perfect. It is as accurate as any of my SiGs, has been as reliable and is fun to shoot. The overall feel is very solid.

IMHO, the XD is still underpriced and it wouold still be a great buy at $100-200.00 over what Springfield is charging.

I love mine.

Only polymer pistol I've really enjoyed.

I would suggest one to anyone looking for a pistol, value priced or not.
