Got in on the pre order last month when PA was having site issues and it arrived a few days ago. Form factor is awesome. Packaging was fantastic from the hard case to the color coded bags inside. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Initial impression was great - but it should be at the price point. There were a few handling marks on the body - rub and scuffs mostly with a couple small nicks in the finish. Not a big deal as it’s something I plan on using - but it is a little disappointing for $650 Initially I installed it on a Glock 19X MOS - factory suppressor sights and MOS adapter. This did not work out well for me. The tall sights really take up too much of the optic window since the HTX sits so incredibly low. The window is nearly even with the slide on MOS cut slides. It ended up being an absolute cowitness which isn’t what I wanted on a handgun. Attached File Attached File That lead to me ordering a pistol I wanted anyway - the metal M&P Carry Comp. It has blacked out rear sights with tritium out front. Standard height with the CORE 2.0 cut. I used the RMR plate from S&W and PA. This was much better height wise, the irons being just barely useable in the bottom of the window. Attached File Attached File Attached File The reticle was surprisingly nice and it does make a difference in getting on target (especially switching to a platform with a far different grip angle). The body of the optic disappears because it’s so thin. I did have to crank the brightness to get a decent picture, so the flare is just from being way too bright inside. The only cons I have - the adjustments both windage and elevation are mushy. You can feel detents, but I do worry about holding zero going forward. I have put a whole lot of rounds through it, but no issues as of yet. |

I understand if you are justifying buying a new gun however  |

But I like that it's a little bigger than a 2moa dot. I'm not target shooting and my eyes are definitely not great anymore. |

I understand if you are justifying buying a new gun however I’ve tried to force myself to like glocks multiple times over the last decade. Multiple 19s of various gens. I decided to get the nicest looking one to try and force myself - bought 19x MOS that came with these sights, changed the trigger and shoe, tried a radian ramjet, and it just isn’t for me. The M&P is where it’s at. |

That’s one of the only reasons I don’t buy any of their scopes aside from the NOVA reticle. |

And that's why they make both of them I'd like to see Primary Arms make a large circle like the Holosun 407CO (8moa circle). They seem to be an Academy exclusive at this point, or they bought a ship load and still have some left from years ago |

My Vortex Defender was 6 and it was the most crisp red dot I’ve used as far as my astigmatism goes |
