I am shopping for a couple hang gun safes for around the house for handguns. The ones I saw on Amazons haveissues like batteries running down so you loose the ability to finger the vault open....

I went to the NRA site and I couldn't find any product recommended for this safety concern for my home...

Any ideas out there?

Found this on Costco's website.

Don't have any experience with this product, but it is a mechanical lock if using a battery operated lock concerns you.

I've had the SentrySafe for about a year now.  Works great.

I have one of these Stack-on handgun safes. Holds 2 or 3 handguns, ammo, bunch of extra mags, and a tac-lite. Can be bolted down for security. Has electronic entry via three button programmable code and a key back-up system. I paid less than $80.00 delivered. Found on E-bay or Amazon, (don't quite remember now). Very happy with it. Only things that could be better would be a internal light. Here is a link.....

I have the Liberty HDX-250, works great and is quick with a wall outlet install. I keep it in my office for "work place violence prevention"

Kidding aside it works as intended. I have a Liberty at home and have been satisfied with there products.

Ft. Knox and American Security both offer heavy small safes. Simplex locks, so no batteries. Figure $250.00 or so.

I've had Gun Vaults with the finger code doo hickey for 10 to 12 years?  I'm not sure exactly but a real long time without issues.

I know better ones like Fort Knoxx or Liberty probably exists but the Gunvault ones we use at home work fine. I have the larger ones. Use Good batteries and plug in. Never had batteries fail and have to use the key.
