Hi all! I am hoping some of you H&K gurus can help me out. I am selling an H&K 4 for my buddy who's father had passed. (FFL TO FFL By the way). Problem being, I cannot seem to find an approx. value for this gun. I do know that they were discontinued to the best of my knowledge maybe back in the early 90's. (?) I tried to look it up via the net and the blue book but I can't seem to get good clarification. This gun comes with different caliber barrels, magazines, extra recoil springs. No box though. My personal rating on htis gun would be about 95%. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also have a older H&K 9mm to sell as well. This 9mm BTW is stamped "Oberndorf/N" Made in Germany. Thanks! -Chuck |

The HK4 is based on the Mauser HSc. It has alot of intersting features, like a stamped slide, etc that was ahead of it's time. It was standard issue in .32ACP for several West German police agencies a long time back. The Berlin PD used some that were assembled in France, as Berlin couldn't use German made weapons due to it still being technically "occupied" territory. The German service designation was P11. It was first imported here into the US by H&R. The very cool feature of this gun is that it has different barrels and you could shoot .22, .25 (I think), .32, and .380 by swapping barrels. There were other importers later as well as HK USA. What the value is will depend on which barrels you have and such. Go to gunsamerica.com and see what HK4s are at that are similar to your's, and you can get an idea. What kind of HK 9mm do you have? Ross |
