Hi,

I have a question regarding the P7M8 pistol. Is it true this pistol is only in production for law enforcement/military?

Thanks.

not true, but 2005 was the last year of production.

Production for the P7M8 ended in 2005. It was never a Mil/LEO only pistol. However, when german LE agencies switched from the P7M8, a lot of them ended up here in the US. These "Police Trade-Ins" are a very good value for your money, as long as you don't mind the mill-mark on the slide. What's even better is that they don't use the HK date code system: production date is put in plain numbers right on the slide.

The mill mark isn't highly noticeable or ugly, IMO. It was worth saving the $500 or so off of a NIB model for me.

Damn fine gun!
