Visited a gun shop at lunch today. They had a VP70 for sale. I had to handle it, having never seen one in person. My thoughts: 1) The trigger pull must be over 15 pounds and creepy as all get out. The first time I tried to pull the trigger, I thought the safety was still on. It wasn't. 2) The mile-wide front sight would certainly hamper precision shot placement. 3) The heel mag release took a good bit of effort to actually release. 4) The magazine was most certainly not a "drop free." I had to pull it out of the mag well, with some force. 5) It is far heavier than I would have thought. All this, and a mere $479 asking price. What's not to like. ![]() A very innovative gun, but very poorly executed. |
