Also visit Makarov.com for the target download with angle grids on the bull and text below saying why the bullets probably printed in that direction (push thumb, trigger pull, etc).

Lots of good tips above.  Another is to go to www.mattburkett.com/ and then look on the panel on the left for "Shooting Tips", lots and lots of good info there.

How far should i put the Target?

BTW-It will be a new pistol and i was wondering if i should use that target the first time of shooting?or wait till i break it in after say 1000 rounds?

shoot at close range at first and off a bench so you can concentrate on trigger control and grip, then later move to shooting standing
