If that gun is going to go through life shooting 15 yards you might as well make it shoot point-of-aim point-of-impact. When you do this shim project remember to center the optic adjustment.
Or adjust the optic to the bottom 1/3 or 1/4 then find shim stock so you can re-zero for longer shots in future. |
| So the way it shoots is normal? I'm only shooting short distances because that's what I'm limited to at the moment. What distance would be considered "normal" zero for a .44 magnum revolver? I had never considered using a shim, I'll explore that option. I would like to be able to shoot point of aim inside 30 yards, the gun will primarily be used for target shooting and as a "trail" gun/hog hunting gun. I have no experience shooting targets or hunting at 50 yards plus with a handgun so any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
