A lot of you probably don't know but, I had my chest cracked open on Christmas Eve and had open heart surgery.  Hopefully I'll go home  this weekend.

I would like to start carrying again, but they have lots of restrictions on how you can hold your hands and even the amount of weight.

Anyone have an idea on what I should use for the next  8 weeks?

The smallest low recoil pistol you own. I've got a Berretta 21a in 22lr that would be good, except its a 22lr.  Barrel tips up so you don't have to rack the slide to load. Maybe a small revolver. What do you already own?

I own a 341.  That's probably the lightest pistol I own.  It weighs about 15oz.  I could load it with some factory 38s.

Went through this with my dad years back.  Brother worry about healing and take it easy.  Last thing you need to do is need to have surgery again because you messed something up.

Glad your surgery turned out ok and hope you get better.

After all you've been through maybe you should use something different.

How about just keeping company with an armed friend or family member.

With the limitations you're going to have to live with you really don't need additional complicating factors keeping you from recovery as fast as possible.

Good luck and fast healing!

Hope you get home for the new year, I agree with everyone on here saying you should take it easy, but I'm also glad to hear you're thinking about getting up & going forward.

good luck my ARF.com brother
