Recently purchased used an EAA Witness Match "Combat Sport 10" for a great price. Well, needless to say, I quickly found out why the price was so low when I tried firing a few CCI Blazer rounds thru it. It would not fire more than three rounds in a row without an FTF! Well, long story short, this old Weapons Officer (retired) got out my tools and went to work on the extractor (sharp edges, burrs), the breech face (significant horizontal machine marks and a burr on the lower edge), and the feed ramp (more horizontal machine marks). After lovingly polishing (almost) everything in sight, it now feeds as well as my well-worn SA XD 45 Tactical, and that's saying something! It's very accurate (more accurate than I am) and now I need to pose my question: I have a full box of Sierra 135 gr. 10MM projectiles I was planning on using in my Glock 22, but would like to use them in the 10MM. I cannot find any reloading info for the powders I have on hand (Unique, Blue Dot, 2400, H110) for this particular bullet weight. I did wonder if a near max Unique or Blue Dot load for .40S&W would be a good starting load for my 10MM. My Sierra manual lists 8.5gr. Unique (Max) for this bullet wt.in .40S&W, which should be safe enough in my 10MM. Does anyone have an experience with this bullet in 10MM? I would appreciate any assistance in this matter, 'cause I just love this weapon, and am quickly becoming a real fan of this round! Take care and God bless. |
