Getting ready to send a 1911 to Virgil Tripp for Cobra Chrome. Trying to decide if I want it all matte or polished flats on slide and frame with matte rounds. Leaning towards the latter.  What do you think?

Polish the slide flats, the rest brushed.  That tends to look good from what I have seen.

If this is for looks, get the matte rounds, polished or brushed flats.  It looks awesome.

Wave, nice spalted maple!  I intend to start making custom 1911 grips from high end wood.  If they turn out as nice as I expect, I'll post pics on this forum.

Here is one I used to have that I had chromed thru Springfield. Had the flats of the slide polished and all else matte.
