Picked up a Glock 26 a year ago. Shot it, hated the trigger. Ghost/Wolff parts installed, full fit and polish but still hate the trigger. I hate this gun more than anything I've ever shot because of the trigger. I would have gotten rid of it immediately but I'm am extremely accurate and fast with it. Is their any way to get rid of this g*d damn mushy trigger with too much travel all around? Ill take a gritty rusted out 1911 or sig trigger over this.

You could sell it to me for $10.

So you're extremely accurate and fast with the gun. But, you hate the trigger. I'm not sure what you want. It's a Glock. If I'm extremely accurate and fast with a gun, then I like the hell out of the trigger, regardless how it feels––it must be working as intended!

Have you tried shooting from the trigger reset position?   I found the Ghost Rocket to be way too mushy for me...much prefer the Ghost Ultimate or Lonewolf connectors.  Even the Scherer is better than the Glock factory connector.

Try getting it back, in stock condition, then make your decision.

I don't understand the OP here.

Its a glock, if you are fast and accurate with it, but dislike the trigger that is a bit like saying that you wish your rock solid reliable, diesel F250 had a "sportier ride".

Different tools for different tasks.

Is this what they call a DICOTOMEE?

Seriously though, proper manipulation of a Glock trigger is a thing of beauty, but it takes a lot of practice in order to be proficient at it. I'm still working on it everytime I shoot one of mine . All my Glocks have stock triggers with 25 cent trigger jobs and they will do their part if I do mine.

You could try a Glockworx Fulcrum Trigger. It has screws in the trigger that you can adjust to remove pre-travel and overtravel. I'd suggest leaving enough pre-travel so that the trigger safety still works. It won't remove the "mushy" feeling trigger but it will remove pre-travel and overtravel.

You could try a NY1 green trigger spring with the aftermarket connector. The pull might be heavier, but it's crisper. The reset is also very distinct.

I don’t see the problem here. It’s a Glock – take it for what it is. If you are “extremely accurate and fast” with it then why are you worried about the feel?

You could try replacing the firing pin safety with a lightning strike firing pin safety

Sorry for the lack of original info. I grew up shooting rifles, shot rifles in competition during high school and Army. I like triggers i can feel. Triggers i don't have to guess with. I shoot Sig Sauers and 1911's because i feel they have a rifle trigger in a handgun. So, can i get a rifle trigger in the G26? Or do i just have the wrong tool?

* Edit: Im worried about the feel because i personally need to use my senses to perform a task to its highest.

* Edit 2: Ghost Inc. Ultimate connector and Wolff trigger group competition pack installed. Long, light, mush.........

If that's what you want, I think you have the wrong tool in the Glock.

Just a comment/observation on this comment, "I like triggers i can feel. Triggers i don't have to guess with."

A lot of new shooters I've dealt with or been around take to the Glock trigger very quicky, more quickly it seems than more experienced non-Glock shooters. For a lot of shooters, knowing exactly when the shot is going to break can lead to poor groups due to shot and recoil anticipation. I think the Glock's mushy trigger is actually a benefit for people who otherwise anticipate their shots. You say that you are very accurate with your G26. Are you more or less accurate with it than with your SIGs and 1911s?

And really, when you've shot a Glock enough, you do not have to guess when the shot is going to break. At least not with the stock 5.5# setup. It has a distinctive take up, final resistance, and when you press through this, the trigger breaks. No guessing. I think this is what I like about the stock trigger setup. I've tried most of the other configurations and they all have a slightly different feel to them. I'm sure with enough range time they can all be gotten accustomed to, but for me, I liked the final resistance and the reset of the stock configuration the best.

the glock trigger no matter what you do will never be a 1911 trigger it is just different and getting used to it the way it is. if you can't there's nothing you are going to do to change its basic function.

In my humble opinion, the nut behind the trigger needs adjusting. I shoot both 1911s and Glocks.  I don't have any trouble hitting small targets @ 100 yds with either.

You can have a trigger that's very close to a 1911 in a Glock, but due to the lack of a manual safety, it would be foolish to carry such a modified Glock.  Either get used to the trigger, or get another weapon for your intended purpose, which seems to be carry as you have a 26.

Eta FWIW, I spent my youth on a rifle team as well, and have no problem with the Glck trigger.  In fact the first Glock I ever fired was a used 19 with a ny2 trigger, an i fired it better than my Sig220 at the time, and have been drinking the kool-aid ever since.  I did however go to the regular spring pack for even better results.

I would swap out the serrated trigger for a smooth face one (G17 etc) , replace everything else back to stock, and do a $0.25 trigger job (google it if you are unsure, its very easy). I find the trigger job gives a crisper break over stock and I just plain hate the serrated triggers in the compacts/subcompacts.

The G26 is probably the most accurate sub compact out there to me....

Just a question...has anyone ever explained the way to use a Glock trigger -
The "mush" is only the initial take up on the trigger, after that it's all about the "reset"...
